Louth People’s Orchestra will perform on Sunday afternoon

The members of the Louth People’s Orchestra (LPO) will perform their final concert of the year on Sunday (November 23).

The performance will begin at 3pm in the Conoco Room above Louth Library, and the entry fee is £2, which will include refreshments. Everybody is welcome.

The programme will feature music from the Baroque, Classical and modern eras, including the Minuet and Trio from Josef Haydn’s 104th and final symphony, the ‘London’ from 1795, two gavottes by Johann Sebastian Bach and selections from Handel’s ‘Water Music’ and waltzes by Johann Strauss, as well as popular tunes and melodies from Broadway musicals such as ‘West Side Story’ and ‘Jesus Christ Superstar’.

The LPO rehearses at the Conoco Room every second and fourth Sunday of the month, from 3-5pm.
