Advance tickets have gone on sale for Lincolnshire’s annual Food and Gift Fair, which promises to celebrate the best of local produce and crafts this Christmas, all under one roof.

With more than 8,000 people expected to attend this year, the indoor fair will provide Christmas shoppers with the opportunity to get in the festive spirit at the Lincolnshire Showground on November 28 and 29.

The fair is one of several events organised by the Lincolnshire Agricultural Society and, as it heads into its 15th year, organisers are preparing for the biggest and best Christmas extravaganza to date.

“We always have a lot of fun organising and hosting the Food and Gift Fair as it’s a real feel good event that gets everyone in the Christmas spirit,” said Jayne Southall, CEO at Lincolnshire Showground.

“Christmas shoppers will have the opportunity to sample delicious produce, and buy brilliant hand crafted gifts for their loved ones, before the hustle and bustle of the mad Christmas shopping dash begins.

“In addition, we will have a selection of fun workshops, wine tasting and inspiring cookery demonstrations from Lincolnshire chefs and producers, ensuring there is something to suit all tastes.”

Spanning two exhibition halls, the event currently has more than 150 food and gift stands showcasing the best Lincolnshire has to offer.

In addition, two local choirs will be entertaining shoppers with favourite festive songs.

Attendees will have the opportunity to try an array of seasonal activities from wreath making to homemade Christmas cards. “As this is our 15th year, we wanted the event to be bigger and better than before with even more traders and a host of festive entertainment,” added Jayne.

“We have been overwhelmed this year with the number of businesses wishing to showcase their produce with many of them returning after a successful run at the Lincolnshire Show back in June.

“With so much to see, buy and do, the Food and Gift Fair is the perfect way to kick-start the festive season.”

The Lincolnshire Food and Gift Fair will take place from 10am to 4pm on both days and will include free parking.

Advanced tickets can be bought online or over the phone at £5 each. Under 16’s go free when accompanied by an adult.
