Here we see youngsters from Navenby and Potterhanworth primary schools celebrating National Science Week 10 years ago.

The children were taking part in a day of workshops on the theme of communication.

Held in Welbourn Village Hall, the event was organised by county and district councillor Marianne Overton and funded by the Society of Biology, East Midlands Branch, in conjunction with the West Kesteven Wildlife Watch and RSPB Group.

The workshops utilised theatre to help the children understand methods of communication in the natural world and how technology has developed to solve the same problems.
