Police are investigating two separate robberies
A machete and a meat cleaver were used in two separate robberies in Boston yesterday and in the early hours of this morning.

The robberies took place in a pub and a petrol station.

The first one saw a man using a machete in a raid on the New Inn on Pen Street.

The incident happened at 5.39pm. The man is believed to be in this 30s.

He took money, thought to be around £500, and then left the premises.

The second incident took place at John Adams Way Service Station.

Officers were called at 12.21am.

The offender, who is thought to have been carrying a meat cleaver, left the scene.

A 31-year-old man was later arrested at an address in Boston, this morning (1 December) on suspicion of robbery.

Currently police are treating the robberies as separate incidents but are investigating to establish if they are linked.
