A chimeny fire had to be put out by fire crews yesterday (Thursday).

Lincolnshire Fire & Rescue crews from Woodhall Spa were called to attend a chimney fire on Kirkby Lane, Kirkby on Bain at 10.54am yeserday.

Crews used one hose reel, a seven metre ladder and roof ladder to extinguish a quantity of soot within the chimney.

The cause of the fire was found to be a build up of soot within the chimney.
