Shocking footage has been released showing the risk faced by people working to improve or maintain England’s motorways and major A roads.

Waiting and queuing because of roadworks can be the most stressful chore a motorist can encounter, but those who aren’t patient enough run the risk of taking someone’s life. Footage of the dangerous driving has been produced as new figures show 10 road workers suffered major injuries in the past year - the highest number since 2007.
