A TALENTED local singer and songwriter’s latest offering is being heavily featured on a national charity Christmas album.

Twenty-two-year-old Elliott Morris, of Horncastle, has released La La La La La (Christmas Song) as part of the Barnardo’s Alternative Christmas album.

Elliott, who has played a number of gigs in Louth in his rise to fame, can often be heard on BBC Radio Lincolnshire and other platforms with his guitar.

Tom Robinson, of BBC 6Music described him as “Extraordinary. Ludicrously youthful and absurdly talented.”

The album was launched worldwide on iTunes on December 12 and all proceeds are going directly to the charity.

“I’ve always wanted to write a Christmas song but never been able to get the ball rolling,” said Elliott.

“This project forced me to get my ideas down and I really hope my song encompasses exactly what Christmas is.

“I hope I have got the balance of cheesy Christmas lyrics and my own style of writing about right.”

Elliott told the Leader he would be performing in Louth in the New Year, look out in the paper and on our website for dates and ticket information.
