Scarecrow festival at Lincolnshire Wolds Railway

VISITORS at the Lincolnshire Wolds Railway this Bank Holiday Weekend will find an unusually large number of Scarecrows scattered around the stations at Ludborough and North Thoresby.

But these scarecrows are not there to frighten the birds away - they’ve been specially made for a Scarecrow Festival which is being held at the railway on Sunday August 26 and Bank Holiday Monday.

“It’ll be a great Fun Day for all the family,” said Gordon Newton, LWR Director of Events & Media. “Children who come along in fancy dress will get free travel on our trains and we want you to see if you can spot all the scarecrows that have been placed around the railway and judge which one you think is the best!”

Steam trains will be running each day starting at 10.45am from Ludborough.
