LOUTH Concert Society starts its 2011-12 International Concert Series with a visit by virtuoso violinist Mari Poll tomorrow evening, Thursday, September 29.

Mari, from Estonia, was the winner of the 2010 Wigmore Hall String Competition.

She has performed as a soloist with orchestras and as lead violin of the prize winning Esher String Quartet. Mari has chosen to play a combination of lyrical sonatas and virtuoso display pieces some of which are rarely played because of the challenges they present.

Go along to the Salvation Army Hall in Church Street, Louth for a spectacular launch of the season. The concert begins at 7.30pm. Tickets are available on the door.
