The first phase of the project to upgrade the facilities of a well known village church is now complete.

New water and sewerage connections have been made and toilet and kitchen facilities have been installed in the 14th century church of Utterby St Andrew.

The church is now better able to welcome visitor groups and to offer community events.

Funding for the new facilities was raised by local fundraising and with support of grants from the BIG Lottery Fund, the Diocese of Lincoln and from Lincolnshire County Council Community Grant Scheme.

Thanks were extended to all those concerned in the Utterby St Andrew’s Heritage Project.

The attractive church on the rise is next to the famous medieval pack horse bridge in the village.
