Members of the 3rd Louth Rainbows group have enjoyed a special belated birthday party after the unit turned 20 years old.
The group, a unit of 18 girls, three leaders and one young leader, meets every week in Louth and enjoyed a Disney princess themed party on Wednesday night.
The group chose Disney princesses to tie in with their Royal baby challenge badge and the imminent arrival of the new princess or prince.
The 3rd Louth Rainbows unit was launched way back in March 1993 and is still going strong as the town’s longest running group.
“We are an active unit, having this term completed our ‘get healthy roundabout badge’,” said leader Vickie Crofts.
“We have lots of fun too, having also had a backwards night where we did everything backwards, and trips out where we visited places such as Rushmoor County Park.
“The Rainbow programme, for five to seven year olds, is made up to represent a jigsaw, this focuses on four areas: Look, Learn, Laugh and Love.”
The group meets every Wednesday at Nichol Hill Methodist Church.
