COVENHAM reservoir is at the centre of plans to build a 40 mile (63km) underground pipeline to transport water across to Boston.
The plans are going on public display at Louth Town Hall on Thursday, May 19 from 2pm to 7pm.
The £40 million Anglian Water scheme will be submitted to planning authorities later in the year.
John Clare, from Anglian Water, said: “The population of Boston is expected to rise significantly over the next 25 years, which will put pressure on existing supplies.
“We also want to make sure supplies are protected in the unlikely event of a problem with the water treatment works which currently supply the town.
“While work isn’t likely to start for a couple of years, we wanted to give people living along the route of the pipeline a chance to see and discuss the plans before we submit them. We’d encourage anyone who is interested in learning more to pop down to one of these exhibitions.”
