£500 grant helps to give Louth Air Cadets new look

The 1228 (Louth) Squadron Air Cadets have received a boost.

Louth ATC approached their local councillor George Horton and after a visit he agreed to arrange a £500 grant to help buy T-shirts to give the squadron a more corporate image as they are hoping to become more involved in community events.

Coun Horton is pictured handing over T-shirts to Warrant Officer Stephen Bown.

Also pictured are cadets Ashley Dunks, Catherine Hodgetts, Bella Ladley and Emily Ferrier.

The squadron is based at Birch Road, off Wallis Road.

Parade nights are Tuesday and Friday from 6.45pm.

Call them on 01507 605918 or email 1228@aircadets.org.

The Air Training Corps offers opportunities to young men and women to experience a taste of service life.

Cadets get the opportunity to take part in activities including sport, adventure training, flying and camping. The aim of the ATC is to promote and encourage a practical interest in aviation and the Royal Air Force among young people.
