A look back at how Christmas has been celebrated over the years in the Lincolnshire Wolds will take place at a special venue on Saturday, December 5, from 10am to 3pm.

‘A Wolds Christmas’ will be a day of practical Christmas making for families. Outdoor activities and foraging will be held alongside classroom workshops.

The event will be a chance to learn new craft skills, and is being run by community heritage project Down Your Wold in partnership with the team behind The Classroom in the Woods.

Sam Phillips, Down Your Wold project officer, said: “We want to give young people a taste of how people of the past would have been preparing for Christmas. From traditions to crafts and food, the event should be fun for all the family and a great way to kick off the festive season.”

The event will be held at ‘The Classroom in the Woods’ near Ashby cum Fenby.

Call 01507 609740 or email sam.phillips@heritagelincolnshire.org to book your place. Directions will be given at the time of booking.

Suitable outdoor clothing will be required, and all attendees will need a pack up.
