An Alford man is due to appear in court tomorrow (January 7) to face four fraud charges, two unfair trading charges and one false trademark charge.
Jack Newbury, 25, of Willoughby Road, faces two charges of knowingly being involved with a fraudulent trader last year in Lincolnshire and Nottinghamshire, contrary to the Fraud Act 2006.
He is also charged with falsely using a ‘Stonebond’ trademark on a leaflet which was advertising goods.
Furthermore, Newbury is also charged with committing fraud by false representation in November 2013. Newbury allegedly told a woman in Ruskington that he would charge her £700 for the provision of new paths and a driveway, but then subsequently charged her £1000 instead. With relation to this, Newbury faces an additional two charges under the Unfair Trading Regulations Act.
Newbury is next due to appear at Boston Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday January 7.
