The 1228 Louth Air Cadets are looking back on a very busy, yet enjoyable summer in the hope more new recruits might like to try out the many activities they have on offer.
Trips included in their summer fun schedule saw Cadet Sophie Matthews, along with Flt Lt Carl Johnson and CI Corey Dawson, spending the week at the national air cadet activity training centre at Windermere in the Lake District and cadets also had the opportunity to go Llanbedr in Wales.
The cadets also enjoyedsome games at the local beach. Cadet Whitworth said: “it was ace.”
At the start of August, nine of the cadets from the squadron in Louth and two staff members, attended a tr- wing camp, located at Wattisham Army base in Norfolk. This was with cadets from Essex wing and Norfolk and Suffolk wing.
Although most of the cadets on the camp had never met each other before the camp, by the end of the first full day, they had built some very strong friendships, they were all sad to leave each other at the end of the camp.
This tri-wing camp is a first for the cadets in this area.
