THE sun shone as hundreds of people enjoyed a weekend of fun at the fourth annual Saltfleet Village Gala.
The weekend featured a car boot sale, grand parade, displays, stalls and competitions, and live music from such local bands as The What and Three Parts Cut, and raises money each year towards the village’s playing fields.
Carol Butler, who helps with organising the gala each year, said she hoped the large turnout would amount to record takings to be spent on children’s play equipment.
“It was an amazing weekend, the weather made it but all in all it was a wonderful atmosphere.
“Saturday was a complete sell out. I hope we can treble what we made last year!
“I want to thank everyone who has helped, there’s too many to name individually but the help and donations have been fantastic.”
