Become a Sport Maker and get Olympics tickets

THERE are just two more opportunities for people in Lincolnshire to join Sport Makers in time to qualify for the Sport England Olympic Ticketshare draw.

Anyone aged 16 years plus can become a Sport Maker; a national volunteering programme inspired by the London 2012 Games, by attending one of several workshops across Lincolnshire.

A workshop in Louth takes place next month before the deadline of April 30 to enter the Ticketshare draw.

It is at Louth Pavilion on Wednesday April 18 from 6.30pm to 9.30pm.

Lizzie Couling, Workforce Development Manager at Lincolnshire Sports Partnership, said: “Every Sport Maker that completes ten hours of volunteering will be entered into a draw to secure one of hundreds of pairs of tickets to the Olympic and Paralympic Games.

“Ten hours of volunteering isn’t a great deal of time. There’s five weeks until the deadline, so you could complete five sessions lasting two hours and that would bank enough time to be entered into the prize draw.”

To enter the draw, all you have to do is become a Sport Maker by attending one of the workshops in Sleaford or Louth and record 10 hours of volunteering onto the Sport Makers website by Monday April 3.
