Bernard Matthews Wind Energy Co-operative scheme for land near Louth

A WIND turbine could be built near Manby which would be owned by a co-operative made up of residents.

The Bernard Matthews Wind Energy Co-operative wants to build single turbines at six sites across Lincolnshire and Norfolk.

If they are given planning permission for the turbine on land off Green Lane near Manby people would be able to buy a share in the scheme, with a return on the investment coming from a share in any profits generated by the co-operative.

It would be the first scheme of its kind in the region.

The scheme is a partnership between Bernard Matthews and Energy4All.
