North Coates Flying Club is holding its annual winter event over the weekend of January 4 and 5.
The famous Brass Monkey Rally is one of the few aviation Winter events and traditionally is one of the club’s busiest weekends of the year.
Clear blue skies and frosty weather provide the best conditions, snow and rain are not wanted.
If the weather is kind they can expect aircraft from all over the country to attend to take advantage of this unique event.
Subject to the weather they will also have a display of working WWI tractors.
Estuary TV are also filming the two day event.
It is an opportunity for visitors to mingle with pilots and to enjoy the comning and goings of many different types of aircraft. The club house has a small museum reflecting the history of the airfield since 1914.
Admission to the event is free and light refreshments will be available. It starts about 10am each day and finishes about 3pm.
The airfield is located on the coast, south of Cleethorpes and near North Cotes village.
