DAREDEVIL Liz Shaw had her head in the clouds on Bank Holiday Monday - quite literally!
The President of Louth Lions completed her first sky dive at Hibaldstow, jumping out of an aeroplane at 15,000 feet.
And through her bravery Liz has raised £500 for Diabetes UK in memory of her father Brian Calam who died three years ago.
Liz told the Leader: “It was truly amazing free falling at 120mph. The views were breathtaking. It was a fantastic feeling just gliding like a bird.”
Liz explained the man who jumped with her was taking part in his 4,750th jump so she felt safe throughout the sky dive.
She added: “We were strapped together and I was hooked onto him as we stood by the door of the aeroplane.
“And we landed on our feet so it was pretty much perfect.”
Liz recently celebrated her 40th birthday on Saturday and she held a party at Tetney Golf Club during which more money was raised for Diabetes UK.
Asked whether she would be going sky-diving again, Liz replied: “Absolutely, it was a brilliant experience.”
