THE Louth British Heart Foundation (BHF) shop is asking people to set themselves a challenge in the fight against heart disease this September as part of their new stock donation campaign - the Great British Bag-athon.
The BHF shops in Lincolnshire are aiming to generate 1,000 bags each during September and will need all the help they can get from big hearted locals to reach their target.
Each bag is worth an average of £20, helping the BHF continue its life-saving work in the local area.
Getting involved in the Great British Bag-athon couldn’t be easier, just one bag can make a difference or people can take on a challenge and set their own bag target. Anything from 5, 10, 20 or more bags will make a huge difference to the Lincolnshire shops.
Linda Puchala, area manager for the BHF Lincolnshire shops, said: “I’d like to encourage all Lincolnshire people to get involved and join in the Great British Bag-athon. BHF shops sell 90,000 items daily so donations from the local community are vital. We’re always keen to receive Lincolnshire’s lovely clothing, accessories, handbags, shoes, books, CDs and DVDs so get filling those bags now. Every bag you fill makes a real difference and is worth on average £20 to the BHF.”
