A NEW town centre chaplaincy project was launched last week in a bid to support local businesses and organisations.
Members of Churches Together in Mablethorpe, Trusthorpe and Sutton-on-Sea held a launch event at Hope House, Mablethorpe last Tuesday.
It is hoped the new initiative will offer a helping hand to local businesses as they battle through tough times.
The Rev Ali Harvey, of the Anglican church, said: “Churches Together is aware that the current economic situation, together with the seasonal nature of employment in our local area, is putting a great deal of pressure on our local businesses. With this in mind, we are seeking to support the people involved with our local businesses, whether on business-related or personal matters and whether they be of any faith or none.
“We are circulating a notice to all of our local businesses that contains the telephone number of our co-ordinator, and they will put people in touch with one of our team of town centre chaplains.”
