Interest in town hall’s future

TWO formal expressions of interest have been received from groups wanting tot ake over the running of Louth Town Hall.

Following the decision of Louth Town Council to move out of the building it has not been used to its full capacity.

East Lindsey District Council, which runs the building, says it no longer has a need for the town hall and that with reducing budgets it can no longer afford the ongoing running costs associated with the building.

Community Groups still have until September 30 to submit their initial expression of interest. If the hall is not taken over by a group it is likely to be sold on the open market.
