MORE than 50 stores in Louth have agreed to stay open until 8pm for late night shopping on two Friday evenings – December 9 and 16.
Traditionally, Louth has hosted its late night opening on a Thursday evening, but the Louth Town Partnership sought business feedback which overwhelmingly supported a change to Friday.
Many Louth market traders have also agreed to extend their trading until 8pm on these days to take advantage of the entertainment and attractions.
The partnership has arranged for buskers to come to the town and play their music. From saxophone players to guitarists, accordion players to singing duets, there will be music to suit all tastes around every corner and down every street.
Festive stilt walkers and a fire show will also be performed on the two late nights.
Children can meet Santa and receive early Christmas gifts by visiting the New Market Hall between 4pm and 6pm.
Car parks will be free from 6pm.
