Louth firm Luxus will be showcasing their latest revolutionary

car development at a major automotive conference in Germany in March.

Terry Burton’s, Luxus’s technical manager, will take to the stage to represent the plastics recycler, based on the industrial estate, at the Plastics in Automotive Engineering conference in Mannheim.

Mr Burton will be giving an expert talk on Luxus’ next evolution in polymer development – a new highly sustainable material for car interiors known as Hycolene.

Luxus’ latest development hopes to significantly lower the weight of the average car, reducing CO2 and improving fuel economy.

The product is also made from sustainable materials.

“We are very pleased to have been asked by the Renault-Nissan alliance to showcase our development work with Milliken at this key event in the automotive calendar,” said Terry.

“It has never before been more important than it is today to develop sustainable materials for car interiors that can deliver a competitive advantage for OEMs in what is a highly sophisticated and rapidly changing market.”
