A PUB in Louth has won acclaim for the quality and standards of its toilets as they achieved the highest rating in the Loo of the Year Awards 2011.
The Joseph Morton in Kidgate has been awarded a maximum five-star rating by inspectors.
The annual awards are aimed at highlighting and improving standards of ‘away from home’ toilet provision across the UK.
Authorised inspectors make unannounced visits to more than 1,500 toilets at sites across the UK, in order to judge them.
The toilets are judged against numerous criteria which includes decor and maintenance, cleanliness and accessible facilities.
Also judged are hygiene equipment and overall management and customer care.
Manager of The Joseph Morton, Emma Keeley said: “I am delighted with the award. Staff at the pub work hard to ensure that the toilets are in first-class condition at all times.”
