Louth Town ask for local help to beat the bad times

LOUTH Town FC are appealing for help from the public and businesses to help it survive.

The popular club based at Park Avenue say ‘times are hard’ and needs people to help out and give money.

Secretary Rick Hill said: “We do need help and support from the people of Louth and the surrounding area to help us survive.

“Times are hard for us, as they are for most people. We now receive very little in the way of sponsorship and even less in grants. Our major source of income being first team home matches, but that has fallen from last season.”

Louth Town have eight football teams, ranging from the successful first team to the U12s.

The club have a three-year lease for their ground at Park Avenue but need an injection of cash to help fulfil the ultimate aim of getting new facilities and increasing the success of the teams.

Rick said: “All we ask is for interested helpers and prospective sponsors to contact the club as soon as possible. Preferably before we turn over 100 football players out on the street!”

They need a general secretary to help with day-to-day running of the club, a match day secretary for first team home and away matches and a commercial manager on a commission basis to bring in sponsorship.
