Cadets at Grantham barracks

Thirty member of King Edward VI Grammar School Combined Cadet Force spent a weekend at Prince William of Gloucester Barracks in Grantham.

They enjoyed a 25m range shoot, DCCT laser shoot, obstacle course, blank firing tactics course, quiz, familiarisation exercise, drill competition and leadership tasks. This including experiencing life on the Territorial Army RLC barracks and sampling the culinary delights in the mess lead to a great weekend away from the TV, internet and other such distractions.

Prizes were presented at the end for best DCCT shoot, 25m range highest scorer and best squad. Very wiry and tired cadets returned to Louth on Sunday after a long and rewarding weekend.

If you would be interested in helping with the Combined Cadet Force in Louth please contact Major Hayday (Contingent Commander) at the school for further details.
