A number of individuals from the 1228 Air Cadets in Mablethorpe were part of the local Battle of Britain service that was held at St Peter’s Church in Trusthorpe.

The cadets joined the local RAFA and Royal British Legion in the service which this year marks the 75th anniversary of the Battle of Britain - remembering those who fought in this crucial battle in the skies.

A whole host of services took place across the country in remembrance.

More than 544 RAF pilots and aircrew died in the battle.
