A school reunion has been arranged for former students of Toll Bar Secondary School, following the success of a similar event that was held last year.
Once again, Jean Salt (nee Wade) has organised the event which will take place from 7.30pm on Saturday March 21, at Waltham Tea Garden in Skinners Lane, Waltham.
In particular, students who attended the school between 1961-1971 are welcome to come along.
Call Jean on 07445 333175 for further details and to book your free ticket to the reunion.
Jean said: “I lived in Humberston and attended Toll Bar all my senior school days, and have very fond memories of the area.
“Several who I have been in touch with are really keen we make this a special event - none of us get any younger - but realise we spent many happy days together.
“I guess from our days we didn’t have the power of the internet to keep in touch - but there is no reason why we can’t try to have a gathering now. We’re also keen to get as many staff together with us.”
One of Jean’s former school friends is travelling over from the United States of America especially for the reunion having heard about last year’s gathering.
Many former Toll Bar students got in touch with Jean after seeing coverage of last year’s reunion event in the Leader, and it is hoped that this year will be equally successful - spread the word.
