Car went through hedge on Louth bypass after crash

A MAN was injured in a crash involving two cars on the A16 Louth bypass on Friday.

A black Honda Civic travelling from the Horncastle direction was in collision with a red Renault Scenic travelling in the opposite direction.

The Honda Civic went up an embankment and through a hedge.

The driver, a 25-year-old Louth man, suffered arm and hand injuries.

The driver of the Renault was a 28-year-old Lancashire woman who was unhurt.

The Honda is believed to have been travelling in convoy with a small black car and a small silver car and police would like to hear from anyone who witnessed the collision or who saw any of the vehicles before the incident.

The collision occurred at about 4pm on the bypass between the Horncastle turnoff and the A157 roundabout.
