Jacksons Butchers in Louth are celebrating the iconic Lincolnshire sausage by hosting their very own ‘Sausage Week’.
From Monday, March 9, Jacksons will be selling 10 different types of sausages, all made from fresh ingredients.
The choices include the traditional Lincolnshire Poacher Award Winning Lincolnshire Sausage, a Gluten-Free Lincolnshire Sausage, The Lincolnshire Poacher’s Champion Sausage - Pork and Apricot, Sweet Chilli and Coriander, Tomato and Basil, Pork and Leak, Beef and Wholegrain Mustard, Lamb and Rosemary, Pork and Apple and even Chicken and Sage.
With something for everyone and free samples on offer, these sausages will be available throughout the week.
Owner of Jacksons Butchers, Richard Nightingale said: “All of our sausages are made from the finest ingredients, with no preservatives. I want to throw away the myth that butchers are expensive, because they’re not.
“Off the back of a successful Christmas and New Year at Jacksons, we wanted to do something that hasn’t been done before, and it’s our way of thanking our loyal customers and bring in a few new faces.”
Richard and business partner Jane Nightingale took over the business in October 2012 and since then the business has gone from strength to strength.
Mayor of Louth and local businessman, Andrew Leonard is a keen visitor to Jacksons Butchers. He said: “I use Jacksons as a restauranteur because of the traditional values of service and quality are paramount.”
“Richard at Jacksons has supplied our exacting standards since his arrival in the shop and continued our 27-year working partnership with the shop.”
Butchery manager at Jacksons, Paul Wright added: “We offer quality products, good prices and deliver detailed, thought out recipes, used over the last 60 years.”
