A woman from Mablethorpe is organising a half-marathon sponsored walk in aid of the Me and Dee charity.

Debbie Prince who is the local manager for the charity who helps with marketing and fundraising has organised the walk which is set to take place on Thursday, August 20.

It will start off at 9am from the Dunes Complex in Mablethorpe.

Debbie commented: “My goal is to raise £1,000 which will provide five families with a holiday.”

Me and Dee is a charity which provides holidays in three caravans situated in Mablethorpe for both adults and children with any life threatening and terminal condition, to make special memories together for when time is very short and precious.

They now also offer a fourth caravan, holidays for seriously injured military personnel, and those with PTSD.

Debbie added: “I would just like to thank everyone who has put their name forward so far in doing the training and getting sponsors for

this well deserved charity.”

Debbie has also set up a walking club on a Wednesday night to get people prepared forthe walk.

Anyone can come along and join in. If anyone would like to take part, get sponsors, join the walking club or would just like further information about the half-marathon walk, then please contact Debbie by calling 07832 952056.
