Combine harvester fire near Louth

TWO fire crews from Louth tackled a combine harvester blaze at Grimblethorpe, Gayton le Wold, near Louth on Saturday afternoon.

The crews were called around 3.45pm to the scene, approximately five square metres of stubble were severely damged and the combine was hit by moderate fire damage.

Two breathing apparatus and two hose reels were used to put out the fire.

The fire service say the blaze was caused by a hydraulic oil leak onto a hot surface.
