A conference to celebrate and discuss the Lincolnshire Wolds AONB is to be held.
The focus for the day on Wednesday 27 November at Market Rasen Racecourse is Living and Working in the Lincolnshire Wolds.
The day is being organised by the Lincolnshire Wolds Countryside Service.
Coun Lewis Strange, Lincolnshire Wolds Joint Advisory Committee Chairman said: “The day will also be a great opportunity to celebrate the launch of the recently published AONB five-year Plan, and to listen to views on how we can help implement the various actions, including the need to educate our children and grandchildren of the wonderful heritage that lies at their doorsteps, and to listen to the views of those who make their living in and around the Wolds especially with diversification into the tourism realm.”
With speakers who are experts in their field, and from across the country and region as well as local, the day promises to be an interesting day for everyone attending.
Topics will include heritage, tourism, community involvement, farming and landscape management, as well as looking at the importance of the national designation.
There will be displays and a chance to find out more about other organisations.
To book a place please go to www.lincswoldsconf.eventbrite.co.uk or telephone 01507 609740. Bookings close on November 13.
Since 1973 the Lincolnshire Wolds has been designated an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB) recognising the landscape is one of the finest in the country, on a par with the National Parks.
It is one of only two nationally protected landscapes in the East Midlands region.
