A Construction Jobs Fair is set to take place in Mablethorpe to provide information for future employment opportunities at the Golf Road site.
In conjunction with the Lincoln based company and Job Centre Plus, the event will take place on Wednesday, October 30 at the resort’s Coastal Centre in Victoria Road.
Construction Manager for Lindum, Phil Sidebottom explains: “We would like local people who are interested in employment opportunities at the Golf Road construction site to come along to this event where we will have information available about the outline construction programme.
People will be able to register their interest and leave copies of their CVs so we can gain a clear idea of the level of available labour, their skills and experience, in order to match these to the labour requirements we have for this project as they become available.”
June Howard, employer adviser for Job Centre Plus, who is helping to organise the event added: “This is an excellent opportunity for jobseekers to find out more about the kind of jobs Lindum will have available at the Golf Road construction site.
“We are aware Lindum are keen to find as many local people as possible to carry out the work required and we have already successfully helped them recruit for an initial position at the site.”
She also said: “In addition, we have been working with Lincoln College and Lindum to deliver construction awareness training, including CSCS card, in order that local people are better able to compete for any suitable vacancies.”
The event will be open from 10am to 2pm. Local people can register their interest for employment opportunities at the Mablethorpe site, with applications from skilled and unskilled, tradespeople and subcontractors all required.
Lindum will also be attending the annual Mablethorpe jobs fair in February when the formal recruitment phase is expected to start.
