CRIME: High volume of burglaries and thefts in the Louth area


A number of break-ins have occurred in the local area over the past week, with at least seven different incidents taking place in villages near Louth.

Call Police on 101 and quote the incident number if you have any information about the following incidents:

• An attempted burglary took place at a garage in Jubilee Road in North Somercotes between 5pm on Monday February 23 and 5pm on Wednesday February 26. Nothing was taken. (Incident number 341 of February 25).

• Overnight on Thursday February 26, a spade and a digger bucket were stolen from a building site on Station Road in Legbourne. (Incident 258 of February 27).

• A burglary at a farm in Kelstern was reported on February 28. Offenders gained entry to a farm building, however nothing was stolen. (Incident 135 of February 28).

• A burglary took place at a farm in Welton le Wold, in which offenders gained entry to a farm building and stole a red Honda Fourtrax Quad Bike. (Incident 203 of February 28).

• Intruders visited a farm in Biscathorpe, although they did not gain entry to any buildings and nothing was stolen. (Incident 208 of February 28).

• A burglary took place at a farm in Little Gayton. Offenders gained entry to a number of farm buildings, however nothing stolen from within. (Incident 146 of March 1).

• At some point between February 1 and February 26, a catalytic converter was stolen from a vehicle parked on Church Lane in North Thoresby. (Incident 240 of February 26).
