Nearly 50 batteries have been stolen from golf buggies parked at Kenwick Park Golf Club in Louth.

Police say a thief got into the golf club sometime during Monday and Tuesday by forcing entry to a gate at Little Cawthorpe before driving a vehicle across the course to where eight golf buggies were parked.

Each buggy stored six car batteries and all 48 batteries were disconnected from the buggies and stolen.
