Alford man arrested after theft at Mablethorpe charity shop


An Alford man has been arrested on suspicion of a burglary at a Mablethorpe charity shop.

Police were called to the Cancer Research shop in Seacroft Road around midnight on Tuesday night into Wednesday morning after the door to the premises had been forced and a cash register and small safe were stolen.

A 26 year-old man from Alford was arrested nearby on suspicion of burglary and is currently in custody at Skegness awaiting interview.
