BREAKING: Man taken to hospital following Louth assault


Police were called to a flat in Cannon Street, Louth, at around 11pm yesterday (Thursday November 14), where ambulance staff treated a 22 year-old man for an injury to his neck following an assault.

He was taken to hospital in Grimsby, where his condition is not believed to be life-threatening.

Shortly after, officers attended an address in Mercer Row and arrested a 25 year-old man in connection with the incident. He was subsequently taken to Pilgrim hospital in Boston to be treated for an existing head injury. Two women, aged 19 and 20, were also arrested on suspicion of assault and are currently in custody in Skegness, awaiting interview.

A police scene guard remains on the address while the investigation continues.
