A BURGLARY took place at a rural property in Ings Lane, South Somercotes on Thursday, July 21.
Police say the offenders entered through a partly opened window between 1pm and 4.30pm, and stole silverware, glassware, a jewellery box and an air rifle.
PC Nick Jones from Louth Police Station said: “We would like to remind residents of isolated rural properties that seclusion isn’t a protection against crime and that burglars will travel looking for houses that have vulnerable points of entry. The absence of any neighbours can be attractive to thieves as there is less risk of being witnessed committing the crime.”
