At least three parked cars were damaged on Tuesday evening (February 18) after they were vandalised. One car’s wing mirror was left hanging by the wires after apparently being kicked, leaving a visible shoe print on the mirror.

The incident happened at the Broadbank car park on Tuesday evening, between 7.30pm and 9.30pm.

The car’s owner, a 21-year-old woman from Louth, parked in Broadbank to visit some friends in nearby Spout Yard. She noticed a large group of teenagers loitering nearby, some of whom shouted abusive comments towards her as she left the vehicle. When she returned to the car park two hours later, she discovered the damage.

Another nearby car had its wing mirror completely knocked off, while other cars had also been damaged to various degrees.

Police are looking to speak to the group of young people seen nearby the cars, who may be able to assist with their investigation. Police are also looking to speak to local residents or passers-by who may have seen or heard anything suspicious in the area at the time.

Call Lincolnshire Police on 101, quoting incident number 408 of February 18, if you have any information.
