Four are arrested after armed raid at Mablethorpe store

FOUR men have been arrested on suspicion of robbery in connection with the incident at Mablethorpe Co-operative food store last Tuesday morning.

Three local men, two aged 32 and one aged 33, and a 17-year-old man from Manchester have been released on bail from Skegness Police Station until January 27, 2012.

A security worker was injured in the raid and taken to Boston’s Pilgrim Hospital. He has since been released from hospital and Police say he is recovering well.

The security guard, along with a colleague, were re-filling the ATM machine from inside the foyer of the store when they were attacked with weapons including a sledgehammer.
