Lincolnshire traffic officer resigns after drink-drive charge

A LINCOLNSHIRE Police traffic officer, charged with drink driving, has resigned from his role with the force.

Sergeant Craig Dunderdale, 41, was arrested in the Lincoln area on Saturday, December 17 last year although he was off duty at the time of the alleged offence.

Lincolnshire Police say he was suspended from duty following his arrest and resigned a short time afterwards.

Dunderdale was one of a group of officers commended for their bravery back in 2006 after a woman was killed by a drink driver in Mablethorpe.

He will appear before Lincoln Magistrates Court on Tuesday, February 28.
