Police are increasing their patrols in Binbrook after two break-ins and a motorbike theft inside four days in the village.

The first incident (inc 273 of April 4) was overnight on Wednesday, April 3 when a shed was broken into at a house in Grimsby Road. Thieves stole two petrol strimmers.

Four days later, on Sunday, April 7 a silver Yamaha YZF 600R motorbike was stolen from outside a house in Briggs Walk.

Police believe a motorbike later found burnt out at Binbrook Fire Station was the same one, but are awaiting confirmation from the vehicle examiner that it was the stolen bike. This was incident 77 of April 8.

On the same night the bowling club on Grimsby Road was broken into. Thieves forced open a window to get inside and an untidy search was conducted. It is not yet known if anything was stolen. This was incident 70 of April 8.

Anyone with information about any of the incidents can contact Lincolnshire Police on 101 quoting the relevant incident number.

Police are urging village residents to review the security of any sheds or outbuildings and to report any suspicious activity.
