A prolific shoplifter, who stole from Boots in Mablethorpe, has been sent to prison by magistrates at Skegness.

Debbie Dixon, 41, of Cross Flatts Terrace, Leeds, admitted stealing cosmetics from Boots on October 24, 2012 and January 15, 2013. On both occasions she went to Boots with another woman. They were seen on cctv but were only recognised when they returned in January and were challenged by staff.

Dixon was identified by fingerprints and arrested by West Yorkshire Police. The court heard Dixon had been given a suspended sentence for shoplifting in March by Norwich magistrates.

In defence, Dave Clapham said her offending had been during four months from August 2012 to January and that she was doing 300 hours’ unpaid work. Magistrates said she had a history of theft and sent her to prison for two months.
