Purse, iPhone and Kindle stolen in theft from unlocked house in Fotherby

A handbag containing an iPhone, Amazon Kindle and purse full of cash has been stolen from an unlocked house in Fotherby.

PCSO Sally Read of the Louth Rural Neighbourhood Policing Team said the theft happened at a house in Short Lane between 11pm on Sunday, May 5 and 7am the next morning.

Thieves got inside via an unlocked back door and stole the handbag. The purse was later found in a hedge nearby.

Police are warning people that they should always lock their doors, even if they are inside their homes.
