POLICE are appealing for witnesses following a second sneak-in burglary in Louth.
It occurred overnight between Tuesday, August 2 and Wednesday, August 3 in St Bernard’s Avenue.
The offender gained entry to the property through the conservatory doors and stole an Advent laptop and a brown leather wallet containing a driving licence and a bank card.
Inspector Mark French, from Louth Police Station, said: “This is the second sneak-in burglary on this road in as many days where the offender has managed to enter the properties through insecure doors. The weather has been extremely warm which means more residents are leaving windows and doors open but we would like to remind everyone that it only takes a moment for a thief to enter a house and steal valuables”.
Anyone with information about the incident should contact PC Harrison at Louth Police Station on 0300 111 0300 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
