Police are appealing for information after a number of bicycles were stolen, and sheds burgled, in Louth over the weekend.

• One blue-purple bicycle was stolen from the back garden of a property in Monks Dyke Road overnight on Saturday (incident 409 of June 7).

• Three securely-locked bicycles were stolen on the same night from a property in Watts Lane, with padlocks and chains being cut. This includes a ladies Apollo purple/silver mountain bike, a men’s black Townsend mountain bike, and a black Freestyle BMX GT with grey handlebars (incident 115 of June 8).

• A padlocked shed was broken into, and a bicycle stolen from inside, in St Michael’s Road on the same night. The bike was a Marida men’s mountain bike with Maxxis tyres (incident 153 of June 8).

• Finally, there was an attempted burglary of a shed in Bradley Close, which took place between 2pm and 7pm on Saturday June 8. It is not believed that entry was gained to the shed, and it is likely that the offender or offenders were disturbed (incident 421 of June 8).
